With Richards help, I managed to pass my test the first time with 3 minors. I already had a USA driving license, but I needed to learn to drive a manual car and to drive on UK roads (much scarier than the US roads I was used to!). Richard is a good and patient teacher, explaining things very thoroughly and in a helpful way. He is also a very calm passenger, remaining so even when I made mistakes, which in turn helped me to relax in the drivers seat. My lessons were varied and interesting, with a mixture of driving around and practicing manoeuvres. If there was something in particular I wanted to work on, Richard was always happy to accommodate.

Richard has very high standards and is quick to prompt and advise you towards meeting those standards (he doesn’t miss anything if you’re speeding by 1 mph, or if you miss a mirror check, he will always know!). Thanks to Richards thorough teaching style, by the day of my practical test, I was confident that I was as well prepared. In the end, my test felt positively easy after Richards lessons!
